About the Role
Clearwater at The Arboretum is seeking part-time Medication Technicians to join their team in Austin, TX. This role involves documenting, delivering, and administering medications to residents with a focus on customer service and adherence to regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily medications, treatments, and care within the scope of practice, policies, and regulations.
- Observe, verify, and document medication ingestion or application, noting any deviations and reasons.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records of resident medication and care.
- Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians, verifying dosages.
- Track medication changes and refills, preparing medications up to 24 hours in advance.
- Participate in and report narcotic counts and discrepancies immediately.
- Assist caregivers with their duties and assume caregiver responsibilities when needed.
- Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs, maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
- Follow care plans to ensure proper resident care.
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and toileting.
- Provide assistance during mealtimes.
- Transport residents using safe lifting and transferring techniques.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of one year of work experience as a Caregiver or Medication Technician.
- Active First Aid/CPR/BLS Certification required.
- Background clearances as required by government regulations.
- Must meet health requirements, including TB.
