About the Role
Clearwater at The Arboretum is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our luxury senior living community in Austin, TX. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care and medication management while ensuring the dignity and safety of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
- Document medication ingestion or application accurately
- Maintain confidential and precise resident care records
- Coordinate medication services with pharmacies and physicians
- Manage medication refills and prepare distributions up to 24 hours in advance
- Conduct narcotic counts at the start and end of each shift
- Assist caregivers with daily duties and resident care tasks
- Provide compassionate support for activities of daily living including hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Assist residents during mealtimes and transport residents safely using proper techniques
- Follow individualized care plans to ensure resident well-being
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Caregiver or Medication Technician
- Active First Aid, CPR, and BLS certification
- Ability to pass required background clearances
- Must meet health requirements including TB testing
