About the Role
The Houseperson will ensure the cleanliness and appearance of all front and back of house areas, motivated and attentive to provide guests with a memorable experience. This role requires a multi-talented individual capable of performing various tasks, with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards, and correct maintenance and use of equipment.
- Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and lounges.
- Assist Room Attendants with stripping vacant rooms including soiled linen and trash as needed.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service by anticipating and responding quickly to guests' requests.
- Deliver linen and supplies to guest floors and remove dirty linen.
- Shampoo hallways, rooms, and public areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms.
- Report any maintenance issues to management and/or supervisor.
- Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures.
- Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds.
- Move furniture, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.
- Report all maintenance and repair issues to management.
Requirements
- Ability to listen to, assess, and appropriately respond to information conveyed through speech.
- Ability to exercise personal discipline and extra diligence to assure that projects are completed on a timely basis.
- Ability to subordinate one’s personal agenda in favor of working collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively to achieve a designated goal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.
- Conversational English.
