About the Role
SAIC is seeking a Command Post Exercise (CPX) Planner to support USPACOM in orchestrating the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning and execution of designated Command-Post Exercises (CPX). This role involves supporting organizations within USPACOM, developing exercise control training briefs, performing Senior Control functions, and ensuring coordination with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support organizations within USPACOM in the planning and execution of Tier 1 Multi-Combatant Command Command-Post Exercises.
- Develop exercise control training briefs, exercise planning milestones with associated deliverables, and exercise planning work group organizational requirements for all planning events.
- Perform Senior Control functions for the Exercise Control Group (ECG) during CPX execution.
- Ensure coordination with staff and other organizations to support the ECG with proper personnel during planning and execution.
- Lead exercise work group planning meetings with all stakeholders and In-Progress Reviews (IPRs) with senior leaders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient protocols, processes, and procedures in support of exercise planning and execution.
- Maintain appropriate OPSEC conditions at multiple levels of classification.
- Maintain associated exercise information data sites and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to designated exercises.
- Leverage appropriate tools in support of the JELC such as Task Management System (TMS), Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Joint Training Tool (JTT) and other related databases or systems.
