- Work across multiple products while maintaining ecosystem coherence.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape product direction.
- Conduct and participate in user research: interviews, usability testing, and design validation.
- Build in Figma – fast, organized, with prototypes that actually communicate intent.
- Navigate complex technical domains and translate them into clear, usable experiences.
- Contribute to design system, and pattern documentation.
- Present and defend your design decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- Strong product design craft: ability to take a problem from research through to delivering a polished UX, with attention to detail.
- Figma fluency: fast, organized files, and ability to build complex prototypes for testing interactions.
- Comfort with technical complexity: willingness to design for unfamiliar domains and learn quickly.
- Systems thinking: ability to hold multiple products in mind and design for ecosystem coherence.
- Independence: drive projects forward without waiting for direction.
- Research capability: ability to run user interviews, synthesize findings, and translate them into design decisions.
- Basic coding literacy: understanding of development concepts like breakpoints and build failures.
- Clear communication: ability to explain reasoning to engineers, PMs, and leadership, and to push back when needed.
- A developer background or engineering mindset is a plus.
- Experience designing developer tools, technical products, or complex professional software is a plus.
- Opinions about how IDEs should work, backed by actual usage, is a plus.
