About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with extensive enterprise JVM experience to join the AppGlass project within the JetBrains Innovation Hub. This role is ideal for a proactive individual excited by complex engineering challenges at the intersection of production systems, developer tools, and AI agents. AppGlass is a product for safe, AI-first debugging of production systems, focusing on safety, reliability, security, low overhead, and practical AI integration.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and lead the development of product features.
Develop tooling and automation for AI-first engineering workflows.
Work on enterprise integrations and deployment scenarios across Kubernetes and cloud environments.
Improve reliability, testing, performance, and security for production use.

Requirements

Extensive experience with Java, Kotlin, and JVM systems.
Experience working on enterprise backend software, infrastructure, or developer tooling.
Comfortable with Kubernetes and cloud environments.
Ability to take ownership, communicate clearly, and move things forward without waiting for perfect specs.
Enjoy using AI in development, while validating results with solid engineering discipline.
Experience with debugging, instrumentation, or observability-related tools.
Experience with .NET or Python backend products.
Care deeply about developer productivity and engineering quality.
