About the Role

Baseten is building the infrastructure layer for AI and is seeking a foundational hire for its GTM Strategy & Revenue Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of strategic planning and field execution, working directly with leadership to refine pipeline generation, build territory analyses, design GTM motions, and understand pipeline trends. It offers a rare opportunity to be an early GTM strategy and operations hire at a fast-growing AI infrastructure company and help define its scaling strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the annual and quarterly GTM planning process, including headcount modeling, ramp assumptions, and revenue target-setting.
  • Build and maintain coverage models aligned to 2-year growth projections, incorporating territory design, account segmentation, and capacity planning.
  • Support quota framework development, translating top-down targets into field-level plans.
  • Develop and maintain Baseten's segmentation logic by industry, company profile, consumption potential, and AI maturity.
  • Contribute a point of view on competitive dynamics, regional expansion priorities, and whitespace opportunities.
  • Partner with Central Ops on ICP and TAM database strategy to ensure segmentation is grounded in clean, enriched data.
  • Translate data into a clear business narrative for leadership and the field, democratizing insights for self-service.
  • Contribute to the design of the pipeline generation model, including coverage ratios, qualified pipeline definitions, and input assumptions.
  • Support the pipeline generation cadence: track actuals vs. model, surface gaps, and partner with field leadership to course-correct.
  • Play an active role in the weekly forecast process, building the business narrative that connects leading indicators to revenue outcomes.
  • Build and maintain the analytics layer for GTM decision-making, including pipeline dashboards, cohort analyses, and efficiency metrics.
  • Partner with the field to identify business gaps and develop structured plans to address them.
  • Analyze regional pipeline health, win/loss trends, and rep productivity to proactively surface insights for GTM plan refinement.
  • Contribute to execution optimization projects, improving the sales process, post-sale journey, and conversion at key funnel stages.
  • Close the loop between field activities and plan adjustments.
  • Support the design and execution of structured experiments to test new GTM approaches.
  • Help build the measurement framework to evaluate experiment success and identify scaling opportunities.
  • Partner with RevOps and Central Ops to operationalize successful experiments into repeatable playbooks.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years in GTM strategy, revenue operations, sales strategy, or a related function, ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS or infrastructure company.
  • Experience with consumption-based or usage-based business models is strongly preferred.
  • Background at a company that has scaled through a Series B–D inflection point.
  • Background in consulting and/or banking / finance is a plus.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; can define the problem before solving it.
  • Bias toward action; prefers to ship something good and iterate rather than wait for perfect.
  • Curious about the AI infrastructure market.
  • Actively uses AI tools to drive personal productivity.

Skills

  • Exceptional analytical skills; ability to build coverage models, cohort analyses, and board-ready forecast narratives.
  • Strong business judgment; ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Structured thinking and clear communication; ability to break down complex GTM problems and present crisp recommendations.
  • Hands-on builder; comfortable working with AI coding tools, spreadsheets, BI tools, SQL, and CRM systems.
  • Collaborative operating style; ability to work across functions and achieve results without formal authority.
  • AI Fluency; actively uses AI tools for data analysis, problem structuring, communication drafting, and work acceleration.
