About the Role
This advanced DIY sales position requires expert knowledge of store operations, automotive systems, and parts. The role focuses on providing high-level problem resolution, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers, while managing inventory and maintaining store standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class customer service and DIY issue resolution
- Deliver GAS3 selling experience for walk-in, online, and phone customers
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
- Manage DIY services including testing, battery installation, and wiper installation
- Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance
- Perform key holder duties including task assignment, safety oversight, and opening/closing
- Assist with inventory processes such as POGs, truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock
- Provide backup support for professional services
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
Requirements
- 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
- Proven sales ability in customer transaction fulfillment
- Working knowledge of automotive systems including engine, suspension, brakes, and electronics
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and parts catalogs
- Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
- Proficiency in basic math including fractions and decimals
- Effective use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
