About the Role
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing client relationships, providing client and project team leadership, and developing mid-senior level client relationships. This role serves as a trusted advisor and the leader of a specific project team, partnering with a specific vertical client set. The Account Manager is accountable for client satisfaction, account revenue growth, and overall business profitability in services delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manages account relationship with select client organization(s)
- Responsible for the success and satisfaction of the individual client relationships
- Grows the client relationship in terms of revenue generated and account profitability
- Develops position as confidante with senior managers within client organization
- Builds new relationships with senior managers within client organization
- Responsible for client satisfaction, while targeting 100% client reference-ability
- Capable of selling the complete range of company’s services
- Creates opportunities for deeper collaboration and interaction and reinforces the client's status as an innovative participant in the creation of cutting-edge solutions
- Provides leadership, support, and ongoing guidance to members of the project team
- Serves as the Company conduit and internal champion for client initiatives
- Provides Company's internal teams with appropriate insight into client's strategic business initiatives
- Maintains current knowledge of industry structure, trends, initiatives, and issues
- Good understanding of best practices and solutions across functions
- Understands marketplace dynamics and key players
- Oversees the development of detailed proposals and statements of work with the support of core team members
- Proactively sells and manages customer expectations and communicates project and profit risks to Company team and client
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, communications, e-business engineering, or computer science
- 5 years of Account Management experience in an Internet Marketing, Advertising, or Management Consulting discipline
- Relevant industry experience in Technology, Automotive, Retail, Travel and Hospitality, Financial Services or Consumer Goods
- Demonstrated understanding of Customer Relationship Management, Content Management, Analytics, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, and Internet Technologies
Skills
- Managing fiduciary relationships including pricing, margins, discounting, cost factors, etc.
- Knowledge of programs, projects and knowledge management processes and toolsets
- Relationship management skills

- Motivated self-starter able to work in a client environment with a remote team
- Excellence in written and oral communications
- Outstanding presentation skills
- Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of issues within e-business

- Strong problem-solving skills related to program and account management
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Team orientation, particularly working with remote or decentralized teams
