About the Role

This role will lead the strategic design of Spotify's subscription portfolio end-to-end, shaping the architecture of tiers, add-ons, bundles, and the broader pricing ecosystem. You will help define how the portfolio works today and how it evolves to better serve listeners while driving sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture of Spotify’s subscription portfolio, including tier structure, add-ons, bundles, and feature allocation.
  • Set the logic of the price ladder, including relative pricing, upgrade paths, and regional ladders.
  • Drive the insight agenda with Consumer Insights and Analytics, translating findings into portfolio strategy recommendations.
  • Partner with GTM Enablement and cross-functional teams to design and apply in-market tests.
  • Build the business case for portfolio decisions, including sizing, contribution logic, trade-offs, and long-term commercial impact.
  • Drive alignment across Product, Finance, Pricing, Legal, Licensing, and senior leadership on key architecture decisions.
  • Influence the product roadmap to reflect willingness-to-pay signals, consumer needs, and portfolio strategy.
  • Own the multi-year evolution of Spotify’s subscription portfolio and the sequence of moves to achieve future goals.

Requirements

  • Deep commercial strategy experience in pricing, packaging, monetization, subscriptions, or consumer businesses.
  • Ability to think structurally and reason across an entire packaging-and-pricing system.
  • Strong intuition for consumer behavior and behavioral economics.
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and building cross-functional consensus without direct authority.
  • Ability to move fluently between consumer language and commercial logic.
  • Experience with Good-Better-Best architectures, feature gating, add-ons, bundles, or regional price laddering.
  • Experience from strategy consulting, product strategy, corporate strategy, pricing, consumer tech, media, or subscription businesses.
  • Familiarity with content or rights licensing and its impact on product packaging is valuable.
