About the Role

Yardstik is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our core background check team. You will collaborate with engineers to build and scale our platform, implementing new features for internal and external APIs and UI using modern cloud technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the architecture and design of our full-stack platform in an early-stage, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate AI-powered tools into daily engineering workflows throughout the SDLC
• Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Participate in code reviews by providing and receiving feedback
• Collaborate as a member of the Engineering Team within an agile framework
• Support partner and customer integrations
• Provide engineering support for the platform and applications via on-call rotation
• Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of full-stack platform needs
• Assist with day-to-day development, use case management, story writing, and API documentation
• Leverage an API-first strategy for internal and public-facing use

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role
• Experience with AI-powered tools
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Redis, Sidekiq, AMQP, and Docker
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with authentication, encryption, and security techniques
• Expertise in UI development
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship
