About the Role
Local Tokyo-based representative of Cohen & Steers, supporting the Relationship Management team in Japan for existing and future institutional clients. This individual will also support the New York-based institutional relationship management department and other members of the Cohen & Steers relationship management team, working closely with various internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation for client meetings, reporting, and conference calls.
- Gather portfolio data and information.
- Complete custom client reports.
- Complete client questionnaires.
- Routinely analyze client questions, requests, and problems, providing appropriate responses and solutions.
- Develop presentation materials, update relevant databases, support ad-hoc client requests/inquiries, and visit clients.
- Liaise with teams in New York and other global offices for strategic/product information.
- Translate and update presentations and collateral marketing materials.
- Coordinate with other areas within the firm to ensure high-quality and comprehensive client service.
Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English and Japanese fluently.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
- 3-5 years of related experience preferred, but candidates with strong potential and desire to learn are welcome.
- Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives.
- Agrees to comply with the firm's hybrid work policy, requiring reporting to the Tokyo office four days per week with one remote workday permitted.
Skills
- Skilled use of Bloomberg, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Morningstar.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Japanese.
- Ability and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment from a satellite location.
- Knowledge of real estate and REITs, broad market equities, listed infrastructure, preferred stocks (beneficial).
