About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and enhancement of our internal developer platform. This includes managing CI/CD, release automation, observability standards, platform tooling, and developer workflows to streamline processes and improve efficiency for engineers.
Responsibilities
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and build tools to reduce toil.
- Create and maintain "golden paths" such as service templates, CLIs, libraries, and automation.
- Design reusable, fast, and safe CI pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Improve the reliability of builds and tests, and reduce cycle time.
- Support progressive delivery patterns and safe rollback mechanisms.
- Establish shared observability primitives, standards, and libraries.
- Partner with product engineers to enhance operability, including SLOs, alerting, dashboards, and incident learnings.
- Build and improve core platform capabilities for easy service operation and scaling.
- Own systems end-to-end and ensure their health and reliability in production.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building production software, with significant experience in platform, devtools, or infrastructure (or adjacent SRE/release engineering).
- Strong coding ability in at least one systems/productivity language (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JS).
- Comfort building developer-facing tooling (CLIs, libraries, automation).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and designing scalable, reusable pipelines.
- Practical experience with observability in production systems (instrumentation, alerting, dashboards, incident response).
- Comfort with containers and modern cloud infrastructure (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes and related tooling).
- A track record of improving developer experience with measurable outcomes.
- Strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills, including writing clear documentation and driving adoption.
