About the Role
This role involves educating and promoting oncology therapeutics to key stakeholders as part of a national team, conveying complex clinical, diagnostic, and access information to ensure appropriate patient benefit. The specialist will establish themselves as a trusted partner by understanding patient needs and aligning on compliant solutions, working collaboratively with cross-functional peers.
Responsibilities
- Educate and promote oncology therapeutics to key oncology stakeholders.
- Convey complex clinical, diagnostic, and access information to customers and key stakeholders.
- Define patient unmet needs and align on solutions compliantly.
- Work closely with cross-functional peers in a collaborative environment.
- Make outbound calls developing relationships and building trust with key providers and staff virtually.
- Educate stakeholders using all available virtual tools.
- Conduct business analysis.
- Actively prospect for new business within the geography.
- Align with sales and marketing strategies.
- Develop account plans with District Manager and internal partners.
- Request, organize and attend relevant oncology conferences.
- Utilize all company approved marketing tools and resources.
- Use selling skills framework to advance in the selling cycle.
- Develop customer specific pre- and post-call plans that include objectives, probes, and supporting approved materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited school required.
- Minimum of 4 years sales experience in pharma/biotech specialty sales or device and/or comparable Oncology experience is required.
- A strong desire to put patients’ health first.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives.
- Proven ability to communicate a compelling, clinical message with customers.
- High level of learning agility in support of multiple client teams.
- Prior experience working and collaborating in a team environment at an account level.
- Knowledge of the reimbursement and fulfillment pathway for specialty products.
- Strong account management and superior selling skills focused on providing a high level of customer service.
- Opportunistic, driven and proven ability to find ways to win in ambiguous and evolving environment.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 50% within continental US.
- Must reside within territory.
- Strong, effective, and compliant presentation and communication skills across multiple channels including all virtual engagement platforms.
- Successful experience working Teaching Institutions, major hospitals, large oncology clinics, groups, and or accounts.
- Ability to successfully work in an overlay position, collaborating with partners with shared account responsibility.
- A valid, clean driver’s license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States is required.

- Oncology sales experience is highly preferred.
