About the Role
Manages specific warehouse and operations functions, including warehouse staff, temporary contracted workers, carriers, and/or company drivers. Oversees receipt, inventory, material handling, and safety of goods, ensuring a safe and reliable environment. Works with internal and external contacts for accurate management, routing, and delivery of inventory. Must be able to work any shift, including nights and weekends, and may require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including processing inventory in compliance with internal controls, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
- Assist with on-time service and meet customer requirements, managing freight exceptions and ETA adjustments.
- Communicate operational safety standards, warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
- Proactively create a positive safety culture by enforcing company policies and safety requirements.
- Work with personnel and/or drivers to resolve service issues, routing, receipt, inventory, material handling, and safety of goods.
- Coordinate warehouse resources to maintain working processes.
- Perform administrative duties such as payroll, budget management, safety event reviews, filing, defect documentation, resolving pay issues, invoicing, and creating operational or financial reports.
- Maximize operational efficiency and profitability, recommend continuous improvements, and measure key performance indicators.
- Utilize personnel management, including training and orientation, and assist with internal and third-party systems.
- Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects to optimize operations and achieve profitability.
- Assist warehouse workers with duties such as operating loading/unloading vehicles, preparing goods, and processing receipts and inventory.
- Assist in yard management as part of daily tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience
- Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliances up to 100 pounds)

- $63,000.00 - $78,800.00 per year
