About the Role

You are the first impression of the restaurant and set the tone for the guest experience. Responsibilities include answering the phone, taking reservations, and seating guests. Availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests and escort them to their tables while providing personalized assistance
• Operate SevenRooms reservation platform, keeping the Maître D’ and Management team updated on cancellations, late arrivals, and walk-ins
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a restaurant host in an upscale or fine dining environment
• Proficient in Reservation Management platforms
• Flexible schedule based on the needs of Sartiano's
• Passion and knowledge of food & beverage operations
• Ability to build tasteful and respectful relationships with guests
• Professional, tactful, and well-versed in conflict resolution
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell
• Frequently required to walk
• Occasionally required to climb stairs, balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
