About the Role
A family of three relocating to Rushcutters Bay, Sydney, is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny for their 8-month-old daughter. The position begins in late August, with a typical schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for an infant.
- Act as a trusted partner to the parents on routines, development, and daily observations.
- Support age-appropriate developmental activities, including reading and sensory play.
- Engage the baby through singing, talking, and interactive play.
- Facilitate social interaction and learning through outings, classes, and play dates as the infant grows older.
- Handle baby-related laundry and maintain organisation of nursery and supplies.
- Assist with light household support related to the child, including tidying shared spaces.
- Help around the house during naps, such as emptying the dishwasher, keeping the kitchen tidy, and taking out trash if needed.
Requirements
- Significant experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Strong understanding of infant development, sleep routines, and schedules.
- Calm, grounded demeanor with a warm, engaging presence with children.
- Ability to work well with parents and excellent communication skills.
- Legally able to work in Australia.
- Excellent and verifiable references.
