About the Role
The Data Engineer will expand and optimize data collection and pipeline architecture to support cross-functional teams. This role involves building data infrastructure from the ground up, supporting database engineers and analysts, and ensuring consistent data delivery for field operations.
Responsibilities
- Design data collection forms and pipelines for data extraction
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including automation and infrastructure scalability
- Build infrastructure for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources
- Ensure data is separated and secure
- Create data tools for analysts to support product optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure or other cloud data platforms
- Proficiency in data engineering
- Effective communication skills
- Experience designing data collection forms in Fulcrum or similar software is preferred
- Experience in the utility industry is preferred
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL is preferred
- Experience developing apps and environments in Fulcrum is strongly preferred
- Experience in utility infrastructure or utility vegetation management is preferred
