About the Role
Baseten is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to build performant and intuitive user experiences for its core AI infrastructure platform. You will own key parts of the web application stack, collaborating with cross-functional teams to help users deploy and manage AI systems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain responsive, accessible, and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Collaborate with product designers to translate complex concepts into elegant, intuitive UIs
- Optimize application performance and reliability with a focus on rendering speed
- Drive major frontend initiatives and partner with backend teams to define APIs and end-to-end flows
- Establish engineering best practices and mentor team members
- Develop reusable component libraries and frontend infrastructure to accelerate product development
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern web development tooling
- Proven track record of building well-crafted, performant, and scalable UIs
- Strong product intuition and user experience empathy
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
