About the Role
VCA Lakeline Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves supporting the Technician and Doctor teams to create a positive, low-stress environment for clients and patients, aiming to build client confidence and deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, physical examinations, surgical preparation and assistance, dentistry, laboratory work, pharmacy, and patient recovery.
- Restrain and assist in patient exams and routine procedures.
- Take detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
- Fill prescriptions (as allowed by law).
- Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
- Maintain medical records.
- Assist Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.
Requirements
