About the Role

This role involves planning, collecting, and analyzing data to inform design and product decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers, to produce key IT enterprise products and processes while advocating for user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover user needs, friction points, and opportunities through data analysis and user journey mapping.
  • Plan and produce key IT enterprise products and processes based on data, limitations, and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the UX Research team to plan, execute, and analyze usability tests.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
  • Build relationships and communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for end users to understand their pain points and needs.
  • Interact with technical issues and reported bugs to improve user experience.
  • Socialize the end-to-end user journey to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Align with industry standards regarding reporting, costs, and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Media Studies, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • One year of experience designing user experience for applications.
  • One year of experience with high-fidelity prototyping tools and creating complex interactive prototypes.
  • One year of experience collaborating with engineers and product managers in an agile environment.
  • One year of experience with interaction design principles and patterns.
  • One year of experience using, contributing to, and improving comprehensive design systems.
  • One year of visual design experience with color, typography, and layout.
  • Experience conducting and analyzing user research, including usability studies, surveys, and interviews.
  • Experience with accessibility standards, screen reader technology, and inclusive design.
  • Experience using data analytics to interpret user behavior and guide design improvements.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools.
  • Experience identifying gaps in enterprise design systems and contributing new components.
  • Experience documenting design decisions and contributing to design system repositories.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in creative and ideation sessions.
  • Experience using digital whiteboards and remote facilitation techniques.
  • Experience with large-scale heuristic assessments using Nielson Norman methodology.
  • Experience building component libraries in industry-standard design tools.
  • Experience designing and developing non-linear and graphical user interface elements.
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects.
  • Experience designing for technical users, including developers, sysadmins, and platform engineers.
  • Experience designing for infrastructure-as-code projects, CLI, and GUI environments.
  • Experience designing technical onboarding user experiences.
  • Experience with technical and non-technical presentations for various audience sizes.
