About the Role
The Finance Manager position is primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of revenue and cost reporting for our Olympics business. This role will report to the Finance Director of the Olympics and assist in preparing and providing month-end and event-related reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, passion for accuracy, advanced excel skills, a desire to learn and an ability to identify anomalies in the reporting. This person must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, adapt on the fly, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial performance and reporting across venue hospitality programs
- Produce reports that summarize venue hospitality performance for recurring meetings with Product and Production leadership
- Support journal preparation and review for balance sheet and income statement adjustments
- Perform venue income statement variance analysis against budget, forecast, and actuals
- Partner with the Product function to analyze and adapt current commercial offerings to market demands and sales performance
- Manage a small team of analysts to deliver on business projects and objectives
- Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close requests
- Assist with the preparation/maintenance of key business processes and controls
- Support the settlement of the LA28 Olympic Games
- Respond to various ad-hoc requests
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of progressive finance or FP&A experience
- Accounting or Finance degree required
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to learn and digest new things quickly
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
- Passion for international environment
