About the Role

Phigenics is seeking a Water Management Equipment Technician to provide service and account management support for clients in the Syracuse, NY region. This role involves taking water tests, maintaining equipment, and assisting in Comprehensive Water Management Programs by analyzing data and responding to client requests.

Responsibilities

• Service existing clients by taking water tests
• Maintain equipment
• Assist in maintaining Comprehensive Water Management Programs by analyzing microbiological and water chemistry data
• Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to client requests
• Perform minor maintenance on water monitoring equipment
• Take on-site readings via testing instruments (i.e., chlorine, temperature, and pH readings)
• Collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures
• Mentor or train peers to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and team development

Requirements

• Candidates must live near Syracuse, Ithaca, Corning, Cortland, or Elmira, NY
• Ability to learn how to use equipment that measures pH, temperature, and residual oxidant in water
• Demonstrate commitment to high ethical standards and a diverse workplace
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
• Understand and use MS Office, Gmail, and various Google applications
• Position requires traveling to client sites in a region
• Servicing equipment
• Collecting water samples
• The wearing of PPE is sometimes required
• The position often requires a great deal of walking around client sites
• May include climbing stairs or ladders
• May require lifting up to 25 pounds
• May provide occasional support in other regions
• Mileage reimbursement is available

• Background in science, engineering, or mathematics preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
