About the Role

STV is seeking an Office Engineer for our REI Group based in our Empire State Building, New York office. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements through the review and verification of contractor submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements through review and verification of contractor submissions.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including RFIs/RFCs, submittments, daily reports, and change orders.
  • Coordinate and review material sampling and testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and NYCDDC standards.
  • Track material certifications and test results.
  • Prepare change orders, claims, material testing reports, and monthly pay estimates.
  • Assist in coordinating project schedules, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records of construction activities.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take accurate meeting minutes to issue a report of meeting to all parties after meetings.
  • Support field inspection teams by providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with agency representatives, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to facilitate project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and construction.
  • Familiarity with CE&I processes, contract administration, and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site as needed.
