About the Role
We are looking for a UK-based Paralegal to join Avantia and support our UK Contracts team. Within this role you will negotiate investment-related NDAs and related documents with lawyer supervision, set up and coordinate workflows, manage portals, assist with playbook updates, and perform other client-related work.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate investment-related documents with lawyer supervision
- Manage the prompt intake of new documents and work to tight turnaround times
- Set up and coordinate client workflows
- Assist with setting up portals and getting contracts signed and finalized
- Work closely with UK lawyers and provide ad hoc support as necessary
- Work effectively independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Prioritize multiple tasks and competing demands and deadlines efficiently
- Deliver a quality service to clients with a strong work ethic
- Provide crisp, concise, and straightforward advice
- Take ownership and identify opportunities for innovation in technology and business
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working with a transactional or corporate practice group or in an in-house commercial legal team setting
- Experience working with commercial contracts and drafting initial markups, particularly investment-related NDAs
- Exposure to private markets highly desirable
