About the Role
As an Application Engineer for semiconductor DC parametric tester products, you will provide technical support, install and commission systems, conduct customer training, develop measurement applications, and investigate/resolve product issues. You will also communicate customer requirements and feedback to overseas R&D teams.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support and proposals for product sales, including preparation of technical specifications and documentation.
- Installing, commissioning, and qualifying systems at customer sites, primarily in semiconductor manufacturing cleanroom environments.
- Conducting customer training on system operation and best practices.
- Developing and implementing measurement applications, data conversion tools, and GUI software based on customer requirements.
- Investigating and resolving product and application issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Communicating customer requirements, product issues, and improvement opportunities to overseas R&D and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor devices and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Basic understanding of electrical measurement instruments such as DC power supplies, ammeters, and source measurement units (SMUs).
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers in Japanese, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with overseas development teams in English, both verbally and in writing.
