About the Role

Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Principal Manufacturing Test Engineer on our Systems Development Engineering Team in Hanoi, Vietnam. As a Principal Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be on-site Vietnam PCBA factories for production build support and keep improving FPY.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, approve and implement test plan & process to keep consistent with Worldwide PCBA test requirement.
• Ensure Vietnam PCBA factories are in compliance with all PCBA test requirement.
• Perform Vietnam PCBA factories data mining to reflect the factory reality and then improvement.
• X-team collaboration and Vietnam PCBA factories test management to meet Worldwide PCBA test goal.
• Identify, drive, analyze, guide, and summarize PCBA factory test NUDD, DFT, HSR, 5C report and lessons learned.
• Manage PCBA factory fixture plan, readiness, life cycle management and issue tracking.
• Bring up and coach local PCBA test team to improve test technologies.
• Design and define system requirements for complex customer systems, and/or prepare studies and analyze existing systems.
• Determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
• Coordinate design of subsystems and/or the integration of total systems or multiple functions.
• Ensure the manufacturability, reliability and serviceability of test designs.
• Identify, analyze and resolve program support deficiencies.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform benchmarking, testing and analysis on products during all phases of the development process.
• Document results in technical reports, white papers and online web pages.
• Ensure assignments are completed within schedule and cost objectives.
• Provide end-to-end ownership of assigned system(s).
• Coordinate root cause analysis to solve issues including complex issues.
• Interface with technologists, development and marketing to define and optimize system performance and resolve performance problems.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of related experience in PCBA test engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures.
• Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues.
• Strong communication in English.
• Able to be based at the ODM site 5 days a week.
