About the Role
An Affordable Community Director is essential to the property's overall operations, success, and tenant satisfaction. You will ensure efficient operations by overseeing vendor relations, property maintenance, financial, and leasing performance of your community.
Responsibilities
- Oversee vendor relations, property maintenance, financial, and leasing performance of your community.
- Meet targeted revenue goals by exceeding occupancy budgets, improving resident retention, and monitoring the property's financial performance.
- Effectively manage staff, operations, and financial performance of your community.
- Be the primary representative of Elmington to residents, vendors, and employees.
- Constantly learn and search for ways to improve your business.
- Think creatively and go way beyond the box by conceptualizing new ideas to improve the business.
- Be an effective listener who offers helpful solutions.
- Successfully execute Elmington's non-negotiables for community performance.
- Ensure all team members abide by federal fair housing standards and all other laws.
- Present a professional image and effectively represent the company to residents, vendors, and owners.
- Operate computers and other technological devices.
- Maintain neat and consistent resident files onsite in either electronic and/or hardcopy format.
- Respond to issues outside of normal work schedule when required.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of multi-family property management experience required.
- Professional verbal and written communication.
- Customer service focused.
- Financial management, review, and reporting.
- Must be willing to work weekends.
Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, leadership, and residents.
- Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines efficiently.
