About the Role

Reporter ohne Grenzen (RSF) is seeking a Team Lead for Fundraising to lead a five-person team, develop strategies, and secure resources to support the organization's mission of promoting press freedom and protecting journalists worldwide. This role involves building relationships with supporters, representing RSF externally, and collaborating with various internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a five-person fundraising team and develop strategies.
  • Expand methods for engaging people and organizations, strengthen long-term partnerships, and enhance member and donor service processes.
  • Represent RSF externally to donors, partners, and in professional discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with management, boards, and departments such as press and public relations, emergency aid, scholarships, advocacy, and finance.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission of Reporter ohne Grenzen and understanding of fundraising as a political practice.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, preferably in the non-profit sector, including building sustainable relationships with various donor types.
  • Good understanding of digital fundraising tools, data, campaigns, and storytelling for reach, engagement, and impact.
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools, content management systems, and CRM systems (ideally Salesforce, Marketing Cloud).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with diverse audiences.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams with a clear understanding of modern, empowering leadership.
  • Ability to work strategically and operationally, with structure and a focus on results, while remaining flexible.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • French language skills are a plus.
