About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase design skills on fire protection sprinkler system projects. You will play a key role in planning, organizing, and executing projects from field surveys to close-out documentation, utilizing specialized software and collaborating with project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Design automatic sprinkler systems using HydraCAD and AutoSprink.
  • Conduct on-site field surveys.
  • Generate hydraulic calculations.
  • Submit drawings for building permits.
  • Perform 3D BIM coordination using NavisWorks.
  • Prepare stock lists.
  • Ensure projects adhere to timelines.
  • Prepare project close-out, operation, and maintenance documents.
  • Mentor designers with less experience (for candidates with more experience).

Requirements

  • Degree in a design/drafting-related program.
  • Related design experience is welcomed.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Mathematically and technically inclined to learn industry-specific software and codes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to maintain cutting-edge industry knowledge.
  • Ability to execute tasks with a great amount of detail.
