About the Role
The Risk Management function ensures the Risk Framework Policy is current, effective, and suitable for the business's risk profile, aligning with company objectives. It operates as a second line of defense to aid the business in risk management and measurement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the Risk Management Framework, including assisting business areas with risk awareness, knowledge, and training.
- Ensure the risk universe, risk register, controls, and checklists are up-to-date and consistent with the business risk profile, including new and emerging risks and Sustainability (e.g., climate risk), and stakeholder expectations.
- Support and enable the preparation and coordination of materials for internal and external stakeholder reporting, including committees and working groups.
- Coordinate, communicate, and perform the risks and controls assessment cycle with business risk and control owners.
- Prepare, develop, communicate, and monitor risk appetite limits, tolerances, and key risk and controls indicators.
- Contribute to the ongoing performance and development of Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) processes and procedures.
- Support testing and reporting for risk, capital, and solvency assessment, including Internal Model, Validation and Assurance, and Stress and Scenario Testing.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level (Insurance & Risk Management, MORSE, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics) and/or with exemptions for professional qualification (Risk Management, Insurance, Actuarial).
- Genuine interest in understanding how a Lloyd’s managing agent operates.
- Eagerness to build a career in risk management.

- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication (written, verbal, and presentational) skills.
- Proactive and efficient with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
