About the Role
The Batching Operator is responsible for mixing raw materials to produce sauces, condiments, and salad dressings. This role involves interpreting formulas, measuring ingredients, and operating mixing stations while adhering to strict food safety and health standards.
Responsibilities
- Check production schedules and report to assigned stations
- Perform pre-operation and safety inspections per good manufacturing practices
- Assemble and connect hoses, ensuring cleanliness before use
- Operate machinery and program ingredients via HMI systems
- Coordinate with Spice Preparers and Material Handlers for ingredient retrieval
- Verify ingredient quantities using mental math or calculators
- Cook sauces while adhering to critical control point measures
- Submit product samples to the quality assurance lab
- Transfer finished products to holding tanks or filling machines
- Reset and restart processes for subsequent batches
- Execute cleaning in place (CIP) procedures for changeovers
- Maintain efficiency and safety targets
- Communicate with Material Handlers to maintain an organized workspace
- Operate proficiently across multiple batching stations
- Assist other cooks on various platforms as needed
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs consistently
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to work at heights up to 8 feet
- Willingness to work in environments with high noise, temperature fluctuations, and exposure to allergens
- Ability to interpret HMI systems
