About the Role
The ESG Reporting team is seeking a Senior ESG Data and Reporting Manager at HelloFresh headquarters in Berlin. This role focuses on curating Annual Sustainability Statements, ensuring compliance with regulations like CSRD, developing the ESG data landscape, and preparing quarterly updates for C-Level and the ESG Supervisory Board. This is a 12-month contract position covering maternity leave.
Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and external auditor assurance of the HelloFresh Group Sustainability Statements in compliance with CSRD.
- Manage the timeline and milestones for the 2026 Sustainability Statements preparation and external assurance.
- Lead the coordination of evidence collection between auditors and HelloFresh Group stakeholders during the annual audit period.
- Analyze and implement existing and upcoming national and international sustainability disclosure requirements, including CSRD-compliance and EU Taxonomy.
- Develop interpretations and guidance for CSRD standards compliance and support the implementation of compliance measures and policies.
- Consult ESG stakeholders on ESG data tracking, data consistency, and process streamlining.
- Provide guidance to ESG topic leads and stakeholders on quantitative and qualitative data collection and validate data correctness.
- Oversee regular non-financial risk assessments and update the annual CSRD-compliant Double Materiality assessment.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across ESG topics, Financial Department, Tech teams, Investor relations, Public relations, Brand, and communications.
Requirements
- Postgraduate education in sustainability, environmental science, accounting, finance, business administration, or management (or related fields).
- 5+ years of experience in ESG/Sustainability Reporting or Audit/External Assurance.
- Exceptional project management skills and previous experience managing direct reports with a transformational leadership mindset.
- Strong understanding of International and German Non-Financial reporting regulations and practices (NFRD, CSRD, TCFD, EU Taxonomy).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and senior management engagement experience with an internal client management mindset.
- Strong interest in working with large datasets or data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Exceptional organizational skills with proven experience working globally across time zones/cultures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- German language skills are a plus but not a prerequisite.
