About the Role
Identify and develop growth opportunities within the Men's Health (MH) portfolio in Japan, accelerating growth by connecting strategy, business execution, clinical value, and market access. Collaborate cross-functionally to drive adoption, market penetration, and long-term sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize new market opportunities.
- Develop account entry and expansion strategies aligned with the MH market expansion plan.
- Conduct market sizing, customer segmentation, and competitive landscape analysis.
- Formulate a multi-year market development plan to expand MH treatments nationwide.
- Collaborate with Emerging Markets (EM) management and marketing teams to design pricing frameworks and value propositions.
- Support high-quality launches of new products and indications.
- Create sales tools, launch playbooks, and business cases to support commercial growth.
- Provide clinical leadership for MH products, including observing procedures and assisting healthcare professionals.
- Educate internal team members and customers on product categories using clinical knowledge.
- Investigate reimbursement possibilities for MH procedures with the Japanese regulatory affairs team.
- Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians, hospital administrators, and distributors.
- Clarify clinical and economic value propositions and support evidence generation strategies.
- Work closely with EM marketing, EM clinical & training teams, Japanese regulatory affairs, and EM and Japanese business support teams.
- Participate in industry-related training, conferences, and events to explore business development opportunities.
- Track market development KPIs such as penetration, adoption rates, and patient funnel.
- Monitor competitive trends and adjust strategies as needed.
- Prepare and deliver regular business updates, forecasts, and presentations for business reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Nursing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Over 5 years of professional experience in the medical device or healthcare technology sector.
- Proven track record in market development, strategy, commercial excellence, or marketing.
- Experience working with a nationwide scope in Japan.
- Understanding of the Japanese healthcare system, purchasing processes, and reimbursement mechanisms.
- Willingness to travel approximately 4 times a year internationally for sales meetings and training, and domestically to facilities as needed.
- Ability to submit a Japanese resume (with photo), a Japanese curriculum vitae, and an English resume in PDF format.
