About the Role
Provide strategic legal advice to commodity trading and shipping businesses while ensuring compliance with internal and external governance. Deliver practical, business-oriented guidance and maintain strong relationships with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to commodity trading and shipping businesses aligned with company strategy and values
- Understand and assist stakeholders in navigating internal and external governance requirements
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Group Legal teams to deliver pragmatic advice
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders and law firms
Requirements
- Qualified attorney, preferably in common law jurisdictions
- Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience
- Experience in commodity trading preferred
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills in cross-border commodity trading agreements and financing instruments
- Familiarity with international legal instruments and trading standards such as Incoterms, ScoTA, and LME
- Knowledge of trade finance structures
