About the Role
You'll work closely with our Founding Designer, deeply involved in product and engineering to shape the user experience. This role offers significant ownership, allowing you to conduct user interviews, build the design system, make independent feature decisions, and elevate design quality across the team.
Responsibilities
- Own and build our design system
- Conduct user interviews and maintain a deep, ongoing understanding of our customers
- Make independent product decisions on features and flows
- Work in tight collaboration with engineers, from idea through to shipped product
- Identify and fix quality issues across the product
- Raise the design bar for the whole team
Requirements
- Senior level product design experience, with prior lead designer roles
- Seed stage startup experience, with a proven ability to build foundational processes without a playbook
- Problem-first thinking, designing from user and business needs
- Deep care for craft, including micro-interactions, animations, and transitions
- AI-native approach to tools and workflows, with experience integrating AI into design
- Strong business acumen, engaging with the 'why' behind features
