About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Officer to collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer and various departments, providing essential legal support and ensuring the company's compliance as a licensed financial services provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice for company operations, including reviewing, preparing, and amending legal documentation.
• Review and manage third-party contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Monitor contract execution for adherence to terms and conditions.
• Analyze changes in financial regulations and corporate laws, advising management on potential impacts.
• Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer on regulatory inquiries and report submissions.
• Provide legal support for licensing applications, renewals, and interactions with financial regulatory bodies.
• Serve as the primary legal contact for departments including Sales, Marketing, Back Office, and Human Resources.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and stakeholders for information exchange.

Requirements

• A solid background in financial services or legal practice is crucial.
• Expertise in Corporations law and financial regulations is a must.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication, drafting, and report-writing abilities are essential.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams are important.
