About the Role
Six-month fixed term contract for a Solutions Designer with strong presales or solution design experience with modern Microsoft technologies, including Azure cloud. Join a multiple award-winning company leading the way in the Azure cloud across Australasia and work closely with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-level solution architecture and pre-sales engagement with clients.
- Respond to customer requests for information, develop and plan conceptual solution presentations and demonstrations, and provide technical/product guidance in meetings.
- Design and develop customer solutions to address their requirements, including producing proposals and Statements of Work (SoW).
- Develop cost models, pricing, and structuring solution elements in a financial model.
- Work with business stakeholders, manage effective relationships, understand their issues, and conceptualize appropriate technical solutions.
- Price deals in line with technical scope, milestones, and/or RFx response templates.
- Review Design documents and As Built documents for alignment to high-level solutions.
- Participate in the RFx tender and response processes.
Requirements
- Possess a combination of technical understanding in the Azure cloud space and the ability to understand business requirements.
- Exhibit top-notch written and spoken communication skills.
- Have significant experience in solution design, architecture, client engagement, and hands-on delivery within the Azure cloud & DevOps environment.
- Have pre-sales experience in Azure/Cloud environments and be comfortable delivering technical presentations.
- Demonstrate an ongoing willingness to learn, upskill in cutting-edge technologies, train, coach, and mentor.
- Possess a good general understanding of Azure cloud: IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, Azure DevOps & Automation, M365, Modern workplace technology (e.g., AVD and Teams), Modern Networks & Cloud Networking, Data, AI and IoT on Azure cloud, Azure Sentinel, Defender products, and Log Analytics Workspace (LAW).
