About the Role
This role involves providing professional accounting services to a diverse range of clients, from family-owned businesses to significant global entities. You will gain exposure to numerous clients across a broad spectrum of industries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a range of financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards
- Prepare clear and concise work papers
- Supervise junior staff on certain jobs, as appropriate
- Perform tax planning for clients
- Prepare tax returns for all entities including income tax, FBT, Business Activity Statements
- Handle quarterly and annual tax compliance matters
- Preparation of management accounts
- Prepare advice for clients in relation to business operations and regulatory matters
- General business administration
Requirements
- CA or CPA Qualification or partly completed
- 1 to 2 years of Business Services or Tax experience (ideally from a mid-tier sized firm)
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage individual and team workflow
- Self-motivated; takes responsibility for personal and professional development
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Outlook
- Xero (desired)
