About the Role
Our Sydney Metro West Linewide Project is currently seeking a Junior Document Controller to join the Engineering and Design function, assisting the Document Controllers and reporting directly to the Engineering & Design Director.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Document Control Team in keeping up-to-date records of work progress.
- Assist with compiling lot records, chasing and closing out missing information.
- Assist with internal logs for tracking document control activities.
- Organize and track the exchange of documents between clients, subcontractors, and the project office.
- Verify that all document submissions are consistent with project branding and format requirements.
- Manage the distribution, collection, and processing of documents for creation, evaluation, and approval of design documents and other necessary materials, instructions, certifications, and records.
- Manage the storage and filing of project and company records.
- Conduct on-site checks and reviews to ensure project standards are met.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or other associated disciplines.
- 1-2 years’ experience in document control and administrative duties, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience with records management.
- Knowledge of project management systems and processes.
- Experience in a project environment or equivalent industry.
- Aconex experience.
- Experience with document control and procurement software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
