About the Role
The Olympic Club is seeking talented and dedicated teachers of basketball to coach in our OC Elite AAU program, a premier teaching AAU program in the Bay Area. The role focuses on teaching skill development and improving players. Practices are held twice a week, with games and tournaments on weekends. Both Head and Assistant Coaching positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Coaching all weekly team practices
- Attending all home and away games
- Following program curriculum guidelines for teaching fundamentals
Requirements
- Great enthusiasm for the game and for working with young players
- Excellent ability or potential ability to teach basketball skills to individuals and teams
- Proficient knowledge of basketball rules and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, young adults, and other coaches
- Ability to be a positive role model
- Fluent oral English communication skills
- Regular attendance required based on business expectations and needs
- Adherence to all federal, state, local and San Francisco laws regarding health, safety and employment
