About the Role
Allied Consultants, Inc is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 General Ledger Business Analyst to play a key role within a high-impact technical services team, supporting concurrent upgrades and implementing new module projects for state government financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, and performs cost/benefit analysis.
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
- Confers with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input/output requirements.
- Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps for program development or modification.
- Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility of requested program changes.
- Supports concurrent upgrades and implements new module projects for state government financial systems.
- Performs standard business analyst duties including requirements analysis and facilitating meetings with SMEs.
- Documents complex system requirements and processes.
- Develops test scenarios and scripts.
- Prepares training materials.
- Conducts hands-on testing and supports multiple test cycles.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing for project communications and deliverables.
- May require work outside standard business hours depending on project needs.
Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected.
- 8 years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft FSCM on implementation or upgrade projects as a General Ledger and Commitment Accounting business analyst.
- 8 years of hands-on experience with state government accounting practice.
- 8 years of hands-on experience creating all forms of project deliverables as a business analyst.
- 8 years of hands-on experience conducting end-to-end system testing.
- 8 years of hands-on experience presenting information to business stakeholders in a formal setting.
- At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- 4 years of hands-on experience working with the Texas state agencies’ PeopleSoft FSCM (CAPPS Financials) system.
- 4 years of hands-on experience working in the Scrum framework and Jira.
- 2 years of hands-on experience working with SharePoint lists.
- 2 years of hands-on experience working with various Microsoft Teams features.
- 1 year of experience with Phire.
