About the Role

As Product Manager, you will own and advocate for your product line, focusing on increasing profitability of existing products and developing new ones. You will build products from existing ideas and develop new ones based on market interactions. This role requires a blend of business and technical acumen, with a focus on collaborating across departments to understand and solve customer problems.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with all areas of the company.
  • Work with engineering counterparts to define product release requirements.
  • Collaborate with marketing communications to define go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
  • Serve as the internal and external champion for product offerings.
  • Understand and support successful product line and product family strategies.
  • Develop robust recommendations on future product direction.
  • Understand market size, growth rate, trends, and market share associated with the product line.
  • Mentor other Product Managers and Product Specialists on best practices.
  • Be recognized as a knowledgeable resource on applications, needs analysis, and best product fit.
  • Clearly understand and communicate a compelling value proposition for each product.
  • Capture new opportunities and initiate development or engineering projects through justifiable business cases.
  • Manage the product lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain pricing strategies while optimizing margins and ROI.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to product planning, including S&OP, demand planning, inventory, and lead times.
  • Recommend product manufacturing strategies in collaboration with Operations.
  • Generate successful product launches in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Collect and analyze competitor product offerings, pricing, and market positioning.
  • Develop counter-selling strategies against specific competitive products.
  • Articulate technical information, applications, and solution fit.
  • Move 75 pounds.
  • Sit, stand, and type.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of product management experience.
  • Exposure to, or experience in, the telecommunications industry is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to relate at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Tech savvy and able to read and understand product drawings.
  • Self-starter with the ability to be continually proactive.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
  • Good listener.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve quickly.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Salesforce, Tableau, and Teamwork experience is beneficial.
