About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will own and advocate for your product line, focusing on increasing profitability and developing new products. You will bridge business and technical needs by collaborating across the organization to solve customer problems and lead innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define product release requirements with engineering counterparts
- Define go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and key benefits with marketing communications
- Serve as the internal and external champion for product offerings
- Support product line and product family strategies including growth, rationalization, and consolidation
- Develop recommendations for future product direction
- Analyze market size, growth rates, trends, and market share
- Mentor other Product Managers and Specialists on best practices
- Communicate compelling value propositions for each product
- Initiate development or engineering projects through justifiable business cases
- Manage the full cradle-to-grave product lifecycle
- Establish and maintain pricing strategies to optimize margins and ROI
- Provide leadership for S&OP, demand planning, inventory, and lead times
- Recommend manufacturing strategies in collaboration with Operations
- Generate successful product launches in collaboration with Marketing
- Analyze competitor offerings and develop counter-selling strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
- 5-8 years of product management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate at all levels
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to read and understand product drawings
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset
- Ability to move 75 pounds
- Ability to travel up to 50%
