About the Role
CGS is seeking a skilled professional to provide auditing and accounting services for fraud investigations involving complex financial transactions and organizations. The role involves developing technical audit guidelines, utilizing various accounting systems, and maintaining cross-functional communication throughout investigations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and audit diverse accounting systems.
- Organize and present large volumes of data including bank records, financial records, healthcare claims, and tax records.
- Assist with investigation planning, including quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Prepare concise reports, charts, summaries, and schedules.
- Support conferences and interviews with financial institutions and witnesses.
- Utilize electronic databases to identify assets and evidence.
- Analyze financial disclosures to determine the ability to pay monetary penalties.
- Develop and coordinate technical audit guidelines and instructions.
- Prepare interim and final reports for investigation staff.
- Manage secure storage, preservation, and indexing of documentary evidence.
- Compile evidence and create audio-visual materials for motions and trials.
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local officials.
Requirements
- Four-year undergraduate degree or higher in statistical/data analysis, finance, accounting, or fraud examination.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination, or statistical/data analysis.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain adjudication for a background investigation.
- Experience performing financial audit and investigation services.
