About the Role
Midas is seeking automotive technicians to perform quality inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in a full-service facility. The role requires a balance of independent work and team collaboration to maintain an environment of success.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Service tires and perform tire repairs
- Maintain car heating and air conditioning systems
- Repair steering and suspension components
- Replace belts and hoses
- Service radiator and engine cooling systems
- Maintain batteries, starting, and charging systems
- Perform brake repairs
- Conduct oil services
- Diagnose check engine light issues
- Provide muffler and exhaust services
- Perform visual safety and courtesy inspections
Requirements
- Ability to repair vehicles independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics
- Track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
- Provincial Certificate of Qualification
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools and equipment
- Ability to service both import and domestic vehicles
