About the Role

Cedar is building the operating system for urban housing delivery, combining architectural expertise with software, automation, and data systems to accelerate project timelines and improve housing quality. The Product Designer will shape the Cedar platform, transforming complex workflows into clear, powerful, and intuitive software experiences.

Responsibilities

• Designing product experiences across Cedar’s platform
• Turning complex workflows into clear UX flows and interactions
• Creating wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs
• Working closely with engineers to take features from idea to shipped product
• Developing and owning Cedar’s design system — components, patterns, and interaction standards
• Establishing consistent UX patterns across the platform
• Prototyping new ideas quickly and testing them with real users
• Improving workflows used by architects, developers, and planners every day

Requirements

• Experience designing digital products (SaaS or complex tools is a plus)
• Strong UX thinking and product instincts
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills
• Comfort working closely with engineers and product managers
• Experience designing in tools like Figma
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of craft
• Enjoys working in a fast-moving startup environment
