About the Role

Laerdal Labs D.C. is seeking a Software Engineer with strong foundational knowledge to join a team developing an industry-leading platform. You will work alongside Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and Product experts, facing new challenges and contributing to the best product in the industry. Responsibilities

Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
Write well-designed, testable code
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
Document and maintain software functionality
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
Comply with project plans and industry standards
Ensure software is updated with latest features

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or relevant engineering discipline
1-4 years of experience in software development
Strong OOP skills/knowledge that are language and platform independent
Solid understanding of modern software development and design, including relational database design, multithreaded applications, security, and asynchronous APIs
Non-complacent and inquisitive mindset
Love for coding and a good challenge
Freedom and responsibility of owning what you're working on
Good oral and written communication skills, and a desire to share knowledge and collaborate with others
