About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist I to join the Oncology Research team. The successful candidate will have hands on experience leading research programs and will be technically skilled in developing and executing complex cell-based assays to characterize novel biologics. The candidate will have the opportunity to lead programs from early discovery to IND-enabling studies, working collaboratively across departments. In this role, the individual will design and conduct high quality experiments independently. S/he will be the scientific team leader responsible for data analysis, thorough documentation of work, and clear communication of results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research programs and work collaboratively with line functions to define strategic direction and execute on programs
  • Design, implement, analyze, and report high-quality immunology and cell-based assays.
  • Keep detailed, accurate, and up-to-date records of all experimental procedures and results.
  • Present data at project team meetings and internal reviews with key stakeholders

Requirements

  • PhD in Immunology, Cell biology or related field
  • 4-6 years of industry experience (may include post doc)
  • Proven expertise with laboratory techniques including cell culture, flow cytometry, cytokine analysis, and cytotoxicity assays is required.
  • Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement in oncology or immunology
  • Ability to work independently and to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment with colleagues from diverse disciplines is essential.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
  • A presentation of a scientific seminar is required during the interview process
