About the Role

Join Heartflow's mission to transform coronary artery disease management using AI, physics, and medicine. You will work on life-saving technology at the intersection of these fields, delivering personalized care for the next era of heart health. This role involves working in cross-functional teams to deliver future generations of our technology, including cloud-based algorithmic pipelines and interactive 3D graphical software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, document, and validate algorithmic component software.
  • Improve infrastructure and tooling, including algorithmic pipelines, test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Enhance the modularity and testability of algorithmic components through careful design, specifications, and tests.
  • Participate in cross-functional efforts such as clinical validations and software releases.
  • Collaborate on the development and deployment of AI-driven tools and workflows to enhance engineering productivity, ensuring AI-assisted code meets rigorous medical device standards.
  • Maintain compliance with medical device software quality standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304) throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide production support.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be substituted for advanced degrees.
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience in a software company.
  • Experience with Python development.
  • Experience with modern C++ (C++-11 and up).
  • Understanding of software development best practices: testing, CI/CD, agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience effectively leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, with the discipline to critically review and maintain a deep understanding of the generated code to ensure system integrity.
